Poem – April Showers

April Showers

I gaze upon this dreary morn
Wonder where this storm is born
Rain saturates the drunken ground
Forming puddles all around

West to East the chill wind blows
Leaving sadness where ever it goes
But they say, of April showers
Without them, we have no May flowers

So while the weather keeps us indoors
We can catch up on our Spring chores
Finish now so when comes May
We can go outside to play
